Eight years ago, I began creating annual new year's cards for my family and friends. I love making anything by hand, and so I pulled out my trunk of art supplies. Each year I delighted in making new designs, printing them, and putting them in the post to the people I love. I studied painting—oil, acrylic & watercolor—as well as calligraphy and the lettering arts. Over time, I began receiving requests to hand-letter and illustrate custom cards and invitations for others.
From my native Virginia to my home in Portland, Oregon, I have enjoyed collaborating on design projects with clients—whether creating invitations, logos and paintings, or illustrating books. Clients often find me when they aren't able to actualize their own ideas, and so I translate their concepts onto paper or canvas. My portfolio reflects the ideas of many individuals as well as my own. I am continually inspired by the people I work with, and find joy in keeping the handmade tradition alive.
